  • ETL Master Data ManagementConsistently increased income and generated revenue for my clients in excess of over 500 % or 5 times more than my my billing and salary rates. In some cases, over 15 times.
  • Automated processes for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, accounting processes, budgeting and financial reporting has saved clients $150,000 to $300,000 annually.
  • Increased corporate market value and genrated future sales income and profits. Originally I was hired to design and build a reporting database on top of their current OLTP relational database. Following my "give the client more than they expect" philosophy I took a risk and presented the idea of a fully functional OLAP data warehouse for analysis and data mining as well as reporting. Leading team meetings I gathered end-user requirements and then engineered a logical dimensional model with central fact table Laboratory Sample Results Facts and dimensions Sample Types, Sample Locations, Test Parameters and Time. After concluding implementation and testing phases in Oracle and SQL Server we successfully rolled out the new dimensional OLAP data warehouses into production. Realizing the competitive advantage they now had LabLynx added the data warehouse to their product line. 2 LabLynx clients signed contracts to implement the data warehouse generating revenue of $50,000 and more clients will be signing on in the future!
  • SQL Information Data ExpertsAutomated validation procedures implemented into the DSS system I engineered for UPS reported a 40% reduction in revenue and a 55% reduction in volume for customer accounts in the areas surrounding LA, Tampa, Wash. DC and Dallas during the weekend of 3/27/2004. This being abnormally low I thought there was a problem with the ETL and Business Intelligence system I designed. I confirmed the results generated by my ETL system with the data warehouse and then communicated the problem to my manager. The next day I was told that another ETL process used in the data warehouse had dropped approximately 12,000 accounts. Since the data I was loading was at the highest level of detail (grain) I was able to find this $80,000 dollars of lost revenue even though the UPS data warehouse had missed them. This event alone gave UPS a nice return on their investment since the $80,000 paid my consulting fees several times over!
  • I was able to Increase revenues by generating new clientele, reducing development time for new projects and increasing employee productivity and executive decision-making reliability. Using Erwin for data modeling I created the first ever Geofields standardized pipeline data model. This shortened design time by 2 weeks, decreased application development time and troubleshooting and increased profits by $50,000 per project. This also provided a way for Geofields to obtain new business. The new database schema I designed shortened query execution times, increased executive decision making reliability over 35% saving companies millions of $'s in pipeline repair costs and increased worker productivity over 25% (9-12 hours) by automating statistical and financial report generation.
  • Knowledgy Atlanta GeorgiaIncreased company earnings over $200,000 annually and reduced expenses. As an Oracle Expert Instructor I was asked to join a team of peers whose responsibility was redesigning several Oracle curriculums. My task was the redesign of a 2-course, 7-day data warehouse curriculum that I turned into a 1-course 5-day class. Since I kept all of the core information intact Oracle was able to price the one course at almost the same level as the 2 courses combined. This increased revenues by $10,000 a week per teacher (2 extra days of teaching X $500 average class cost per day X 10 students in class minimum, usually 15-20 students weekly classes), lowered expenses and overhead by freeing up more instructor time to teach other classes, increased class utilization rates and reduced printing and materials costs.
  • Process and Schema Re-Engineering led to a $100,000 ROI the first year live due to reduced support, re-implementation and travel costs. Increased server side processing also reduced network traffic by 20%, which in turn increased application response time by 55%.
  • Newly implemented processes and systems generated a combined $590,000 ROI for our financial clients and reduced employee administration duties by 25 hours weekly. Major problem solved was the small window for data loads and data integration, scrubbing difficulties due to heterogeneous server environments and security and encryption requirements.
